Description

East Anglian Collie Association held their DOG OF THE YEAR contest at the Littleport Leisure centre

The dogs have to win certain shows during the previous year to qualify , The judges are announced on the day and this year our Judges were All rounder Pat Ward and Breed specialist was Maxine Mellish

The veteran dogs were up first, there was 9 entered Ghost was one of them sadly he didn't make the final but he showed for Georgie very well (considering he had a bad accident not to long ago and it was in doubt that I would ever be able to show him again, he has made a full recovery)

In the adult section there was 21 entered and both Thistle and Diablo were in this section, Barry showed and handled Thistle and Georgie had Diablo, Thistle showed really well considering Barry never shows the dogs so well done too both and Diablo was a little unsure of the floor and the big blue curtain but he really did well, sadly once again both did not make the final cut.

This show is a very prestigious one and it is very hard to qualify for so well done for qualifying all three, Thank you Georgie.

show Critiques

EACA Champ show 18th April

Veteran dog 2nd Corben’s Caprioara Silver Cloud 7yr b/m. Good over all body shape, well boned. Head a tad deep through, nice eye and expression. Strong neck, adequate shoulder angulation, plenty of depth to rib, well muscled and moved ok.

EACA open show 18th April.

Junior dog 2nd Corben’s and Moore’s Welanga Winter Carols via caprioara, good head and expression. Well balanced, just prefer a little more Under jaw . Needs more drive on moving

Leeds Smooth collies J/D 2nd Corben’s and Moore’s Stormsett Shadow Dancer via caprioara rangier than I would prefer has good ear carriage, good condition, nice eyes moves well once settled .
