Boston Premier open show
Well what can i say except WOW for todays results at Boston Christmas show.
Firstly i want to say a huge thanks to my two runners today with out you i wouldn't have had the results i had, you know who you are.
In the rough Collies Limit class Thistle was placed 2nd beaten by my Percy's sister shown by there breeder Colin Bartram, well done Colin.
Then in the open class Aslan ( first show in almost a year) was placed 1st and went on to win Best of Breed, comments from the judge, he is handsome, moves the best i have seen a rough move in a long time, he has power and drive from the rear. Judge was Helen Gutteridge.
Then in the Group, the group judge was the same as the breed judge and she short listed 6 dogs including Aslan and then she gave Aslan Group 4. This is our last show of the year 2024. So onwards and upwards next year. What a year we have had
Smooth Collies
Then onto the smooths the judge was the same and Diablo in the limit class was placed 1st.
Critique
Limit class 2nd Corben' & Moore's Welanga Winter Carols via Caprioara. Body and head proportions good. Gait sound from all views.
Open class 1st Corben's Astromelias Ulises via Caprioara ( Imp Esp) BOB and Group 4 very nice male of good proportions, well angulated and balanced with good feet. Correct topline with well held and set tail. Masculine head of correct shape and proportions. Sound on the move from all sides. I loved the slightly longer neck and excellent length and stride and drive. Judge Helen Gutteridge
Pastoral Group 4th Aslan Unfazed by a change of handler, a good sound dog, with excellent gait. Judge Helen Gutteridge
Smooth Collie Limit class 1st Corben's & Moore's Stormsett Shadow Dancer via Caprioara. Well proportioned boy, with matching angels all round. pleasing head and friendly temperment. Good rear movement. Tending to hackney in front, probably due to his high spirits and enjoying himself. Judge Helen Gutteridge .
