Happy Birthday Barbs
On the 15th November 2024 it would have been Barbs 73rd birthday, so we all wish her a happy heavenly birthday with special kisses from all her departed animals she loved over the years, I know she is spending today with them and also looking down on all her friends and all the clan.
She would be especially surprised that we all remembered her birthday. I Too those that new her I hope you can all spend a few mins today at some point to remember her with a smile and remember such a stalwart for the breed which gave her such pleasure and meant the world to her to have bred such a lovely family of collies she often would fight for the collie against others that would often say that the collie is suffering from ill health and isn't the breed it once was.
Barb proved you can breed a true type of smooth with great health stats, for many that don't know this barb fought the authorities concerning the problem of rough pups being born to smooth parents at that time if this happened you had to reg them as smooths even tho they looked like roughs but barb won and the law both within the kc and the trading standards now accept breeders can reg any rough coated pups in a smooth litter as being roughs all thanks to Barb. Barb would always fight for the under dog and you knew you had a great ally if she was on your side . So too you up there in the clouds Barb we all miss you, we all love you for who your were and are glad to be able to call you a friend, just because your no longer here with us in body, we know your walking amongst us.
